After 4 years of use as our daily workhorse our Tithonus’s paintwork was in need of a tidy up. August bank holiday weekend gave the ideal opportunity although trying to prep and paint in 3 days and dodge the usual bank holiday wet weather proved a challenge, but it made it back to work on the Tuesday morning, hopefully fit for another few years..

I own two ex military 110 land rovers. Both vehicles have the same lightning style stickers on the windscreen as your tythonus ( although the stickers on mine are yellow in colour as opposed to your red sticker). I have been attempting to find out what these signify ( military or just auction stickers?). Nobody so far has been able to identify their meaning. I would be grateful if you could help in shedding any light on their meaning.

Many thanks for the message, good question reference the stickers, i always believed they were possibly something attached by units to identify their own vehicles perhaps during large exercises etc, if yours both have yellow stickers were they in the same units? as if not i guess that would stamp out my possible definition..

Hi, can I ask what the paint reference colour is for this vehicle? I have a 110 coming that needs a paint job and want to use the genuine colour? Real nice looking vehicle, was it sprayed or roller?
Hi Gary thanks for the message, the paint was mixed by a local motor factors, it is to the military code of BS381c 285 Nato Green (satin) this one was sprayed, thanks again.
